PlayCraft Studios
In 2015 I began assistant directing student productions at Lasalle, College of the Arts (SG) with director and lecturer Adam Marple. It was then that I started to perform the divisions of being a director, teacher, coach and facilitator but was unaware of jumping between hats. As Resident Assistant Director at Singapore Repertory Theatre from 2016 - 2017 I've had the opportunity to assistant direct for their Young Company who I immensely enjoyed coaching and teaching.
To amass a toolkit towards cultivating inspiration within an actor through clearer pedagogical communication I embarked on the MA in Actor Training & Coaching over other paths at the end of my residency with SRT.
My coaching & training practice draws from the principles of Viewpoints, Meisner, Michael Chekhov and Stanislavski concepts mixed a little bit of everything else delivered with my own unique style and twist!
Since being at Central, I've had observational and active placements with the National Youth Theatre (UK) and Ben Buratta working with the 'BA Drama and Theatre in Education' students as an acting coach/trainer.
I've curated and organized the first RCSSD Actor Training Workshop Festival (5-19 June 2018) also teaching a session of my emerging practice. Click the title or images to view.
