Hello!
I'm a Singaporean acting teacher and theatre director based in the United Kingdom, I hold a PhD in Actor Training & VR at DeMontfort University (UK) on a full scholarship. Experienced in various elements within theatremaking, I have directed and taught across Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and the United Kingdom. I was recently Drama Industry Fellow at the University of Hull (2023-2025).
I graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama (2018; London) with an MA in Actor Training & Coaching and am a former Resident Assistant Director at Singapore Repertory Theatre (2016-2017; Forbidden City: Portrait of an Empress, Romeo & Juliet at Fort Canning, Hand to God, Constellations, Disgraced and many more).
My most recent directing works are Burying Children (2023), Sita of Troy (2022), Water Child (2020, Zoom) Lady Death (2019, Hong Kong) and Discord of Discourse (2019, Hong Kong & London). I was a founding member of the research group Architects of Realities (2021-2022) funded by the National Arts Council Singapore, investigating inter-medial performativity and rehearsal processes between theatre and virtual realities.

My PhD in Embodied Cybernetic Actor Training (ECAT), develops new methods for acting within XR, digital performance systems, and posthuman dramaturgies — redefining presence and agency across virtual and physical space.

In parallel, my NeuroPhysical Actor methodology advances the actor’s craft through contemporary neuroscience, psychophysiology, and sports-performance science — providing a rigorous, evidence-based update to the legacies of Stanislavsky, Chekhov, Meisner, and Adler.

My actor-training work focuses on enhancing instinct, muscular intelligence, and adaptive responsiveness — preparing actors to meet the demands of both contemporary stages and future mixed-reality performance landscapes.
