A 4-week devising process workshop designed to begin or develop your devised theatre practice. Participants will be devising a new work-in-progress or concept through processes facilitated by Khairul Kamsani similar to professional production standards. The key focus of this workshop is to practice the process of developing new work through:

 

- Devising through Viewpoints

- Collaborative tablework, 

- Characterisation techniques,

- Psychophysical exploration and 

- Running scenes with notes

.

Given the short devising and rehearsal period, please note that each acting approach will be explored briefly, and we will not be able to rehearse a full play but instead focus on concept, theme and short scenes.

To ensure a consistent and conducive rehearsal process, admission is by audition before booking. Requirements are:

​

• 2 minute monologue of any selected text over Zoom (a text you have written is strongly encouraged)

• Suggest a play or scene that you are interested in working on and why
