A 4-week rehearsal process workshop designed to take your acting practice to the next level or keep it sharp. Participants will be working on a text in a rehearsal process directed by Khairul Kamsani similar to professional production standards. The key focus of this workshop is to practice the process of bringing a text to life through collaborative tablework, characterization techniques, psychophysical exploration and running scenes with notes. Khairul will be applying actor training techniques (Viewpoints, Meisner, Michael Chekhov) in his directing process for participants to learn new techniques or refine their current knowledge and practice of them in a rehearsal context. Given the short rehearsal period, please note that each acting approach will be explored briefly, and we will not be able to rehearse a full play but instead focus on a selection of scenes. The play/scenes to be rehearsed will be decided depending on confirmed participants.

To ensure a consistent and conducive rehearsal process, admission is by audition before booking. Requirements are:

• 2 minute monologue of any selected text over Zoom

• Suggest a play or scene that you are interested in working on and why
